Welcome to Age of War, Maethius' custom Zoids site. Here you will find my custom models of the Zoids line, the techniques used to create them, and the unique story that ties the images together. At present the focus of A0W is the customized Zoid kit or the kitbashed custom, but I will post repaints (actual and digital) that update them to fit within this age of Planet Zi. I may also post a gallery of digitally repainted/altered images of the customs of other artists, should their designs inspire me as something that would fit into the A0W era. If I do decide to post the altered works of others, I will give original image and name credit to each, if that information is available.

I have been honored enough to have several of my custom Zoid models place in contests held by different communities around the web. I have placed these seals on those models which did manage to win awards. To this day, I still strive to improve my custom modeling skills, and hope to place alongside the true artists of this genre.

COMMISSION PIECES

I now build custom Zoids for clients on commission. My first custom piece (Wolvereaver) was created off of a design provided by my client. Since then I have built 13 commission pieces, each a unique effort. Some designs evolved as the builds themselves did, others were completely planned in advance. My work style is to keep clients continually updated with my builds and to seek permissions before making any large scale changes. Pricing varies widely based on the expected final product, from paint schemes on unmodified kits to full-blown kitbashes with light kits and glow paint.
