Forces
The Neo Zenebas Empire was hard hit by the Bluefire Contingency as the vast majority of its forces where either engaged in battle or on the march at the time. However, due to their being widespread, several battleherds took relatively light casualties. The current Zenevas Empire was born out of the large territory held by the prior regime and by alliances with many scattered tribes. Driven by hate for the humans, their forces have unified under the new serpent banner. As such, Zenevas has the largest unified military force on Zi.
Similarly to Helic, Zenevas uses the new class designation system dividing machines by weight and power plant type:
EZ - This is the standard designation for "Empire Zoid", it is alternatively exchanged for other codes such as EA or EV; Empire
Aerial unit or Empire Vehicular unit respectively. The standard replaced the older system of EBOZ, EPZ , EHI and EMZ model
which utilized alpha characters to distinguish between power plant classifications. The new system identifies only the overall
classification genus (Zoid, Vehicle, Base, Infantry, etc.) with the alpha system and designates a power plant rating (most often
associated with a unit's overall combat capabilities) using numerals only. In the case of numeric designations, the subclasses
may be grouped as follows:
000 - Also known as the XLP series (extra-light plant), this group rarely reaches 10 tons of gross weight and represents light armor,
recon pods, support equipment, light infantry squads and the lightest of Zoid chassis.
100 - LP series (light plant) now makes up the overwhelming bulk of all field units; the Zatton, Malder and Sinker classes all belong
to this designation now. Additionally, the former EHI series has also been grouped into the 100 class, extending the scope of
these units to include tonnages from 10 to 50 and, on occasion, above. At present, this class now includes units such as the
Rhimos series and Blaze Wing interceptors. Most Empire light armor and support vehicles and heavy infantry are 100 series.
200 - SP series units (standard plant) were once the EPZ classes. The ever exanding scope of the machines designated by the EP
series label was actually the catalyst for beginning the new system of designations, as the "Power Zoid" class expanded to
include everything from lithe Serpents to massive Iron Kongs, heavy Gustav transports to the powerful Red Horn assault units.
The new designation assumes units ranging between 50 to 100 tons with room for variation based on performance factors. The
200 series also sees employment on tanks, heavy transports and artillery platforms, static and portable.
300 - SH series (standard-heavy) units qualify for tonnages from 100 to 200 and comprise the bulk of the heavy assault punch of
the Empire's forces. These ranks now include Red Horns, Iron Kongs, Death Razers and Gustav Transports. There are few
standard vehicle units that qualify for this class, but most that do are engineering and support type equipment.
400 - HP (heavy plant) units are the terrifying war machines that dominate the battlefield. These ranks include such historic names
as Death Saurer, Tsunami and Tyrann Stinger. Almost any EZ-400 designation represents either the commanding theater
officer's personal unit or the heaviest weapon in the regiment's arsenal.
500 - SU (super-heavy). At current there is only one unit employed by the Empire with this designation; the EZ-501 Fusillade. This
is not to suggest that it is the highest designation used, as there are even heavier units currently used by the Empire.
600 - TU (tactical unit) is only used, at present, with the huge support machines such as Whale King and Dragoon Nest. These are
generally seen as rear-line repair and resupply units, portable bases and communication structures. It is currently the highest
class designation employed by the Empire.
